I found plenty of chicken at a local Mennonite run store. They had lots of everything.
I took what I wanted/needed and there was plenty left.
I got a lot of chicken because due to many, many food allergies, that’s the only meat I can eat. I just pressure canned a bunch of it.
I need to look in my freezer as well I think I have a bag of frozen blueberries from Sam’s club, which makes them pretty old, but I will drag them out to make more freezer space and if they are still good, I will can them up.
Bake those old blueberries into something today to use them up. I made preserves with too many frozen strawberries a couple years ago. There are two packages of some berries in the freezer that I keep shoving back so thanks for the reminder.
This is a good time to organize the freezer and pantry to eat the old stuff now so there’s room for new.
Same with the kitchen cabinets. During Ebola, I cleared out enough junk to have two cabinets for canned goods. Last night, I stuck some Command hangers to the inside of the pantry door to hang bagged goods like Splenda. I had previously tried various tapes but they never held so had to buy the hangers.
I organized the bathroom cabinets and found I already had everything we needed for CV so nothing to panic over.
