Total infected globally (after about 4 months of nearly unhindered exposure among a population of 6.6 billion): 75,405
Total dead: 2,633 (mortality rate of 3.5%)
Total recovered: 7,037 (9.6% of all surviving infected)
Doesn't exactly strike me as the Black Death redux.
We have better sanitary conditions - except Iran.
We have better medical care for those who have a serious case.
We have governments trying to flatten the curve of potential infected persons.
