There are 14,955 coronavirus patients in Italy, 2,116 more than yesterday, while the total number of infected people - including the victims and the recovered - reached 17,660. The data was provided by the emergency commissioner Angelo Borrelli at a press conference to the Civil Protection
Just a question here. I am curious.
Given the large number of infections in Italy, is it possible that there’s a genetic factor here that may play a part?
By that, I’m referring to anyone with genes that have a Mediterranean component (not sure of the right phrasing)to them.
Just like US blacks have a disposition of sorts toward sickle cell anemia, is it possible there’s something in the genetic make-up of Italians that’s leading to more infections?
Could it be a factor?
