Well, in VA, all suspected cases are required to be reported to the VA Health Department.

But the VA Health Department changed their policy earlier this week, and stopped reporting pending tests.

Maybe the growth in pending tests is the real reason.

I have also wondered why the local university, which is also home to a top flight medical school and hospital, has been so insistent on telling students NOT to come back after spring break, even if they have an annual lease on an apartment.

If the cases are exploding at the local hospitals, it would explain a lot.

Imho the cases are _not_ exploding at the local hospitals _yet_, except _maybe_ in Washington state.

But, the virus growth is exponential, so anyone capable of math can figure out where this is going, and how long it will take to get there....
