I needed to buy a couple things today from Kroger, so I went over the lunch hour. I couldn’t believe the empty shelves and grocery carts loaded to the brim ! Th last I heard, the world is NOT coming to an end . This is crazy !
AUSTIN Gov. Greg Abbott is declaring a state of disaster over coronavirus disease 2019, and announced that the state on Friday opened a drive-through testing center in San Antonio, with ones to follow soon in Dallas, Houston and Austin.

I went to Costco this AM (opens @10:00AM) and, due to a traffic accident on the main street that feeds into Costco, I drove in via a back street.
This was 15 minutes before the store was set to open.
I parked WAAAAY away as the parking lot was full, and the store had opened early...
I walked in — declining a cart — and walked past a traffic jam of shopping carts, picked up some paper towels (15 left after I left) then checked out. I needed paper towels, I’m OK on TP.
All of these folks with shopping carts...all of these folks in the parking lot...
This is crazy.
Went to a pizza shop today for lunch. CNN blaring overhead. Lots of foot traffic, business as usual, seemingly unaffected by the virus porn piped into the room.
