Also looked (many times) for that rose garden vid. Have discovered the Wayback Machine https://archive.org/web/ and was trying to find vid using that. Do you remember the event name details? I watched it online when it happened —it was weird, but have not been able to locate it in the last 2 years.

SOme of the cuts of video that used to be available gave me the impression - because it cut to Bush Sr looking up in wonderment, clipped to steely gaze #1 and #2, back to Bush with a quick toss of his head/shrug and looking back over his shoulder to remark/laugh. Now, that could have been falsely edited to juxtapose them when it wasn’t like that, but at the time I thought it was legit.
No - I tried for the Rose Garden every way I could. At the Rose Garden event, probably needed a press pass to film/attend. Sure the networks taped it so they have it and will no doubt make it available to one and all. /s
