BREAKING: Trump To Declare National Emergency Over The Coronavirus And Invoke Stafford Act 25
The Stafford Act is a 1988 amended version of the Disaster Relief Act of 1974. It created the system in place today by which a presidential disaster declaration or an emergency declaration triggers financial and physical assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

That got me wondering. Trump has told us to prepare; plans, supplies, money, etc. He probably knows most will not do that till the emergency has struck which is, of course, too late. Maybe he is using this to get us to prepare or at least see preparation must be done ahead of time. Maybe the big one is still on the way.
And I'm not saying he made this Corona thing happen. Just not letting a crisis go to waste. (Thanks, Rahm)

POTUS - “All Americans can prepare for potential disasters by developing and practicing a family emergency response plan, assembling a disaster supply kit, signing up for alerts on mobile devices, setting aside emergency savings, and maintaining adequate insurance policies for their homes and businesses.”
“I encourage all Americans to take the opportunity to ensure they have an emergency response plan in place and ready to be properly executed. Emergencies and disasters test the resilience and strength of families, communities, and our Nation. It is impossible to avoid every challenge and threat, but we can and must prepare for them.”
