I got a note from a friend who lives outside the US pointing to a story saying Trump’s statement about Google having 1700 engineers working on a screening website was not true, and that all they’re doing (a Google subsidiary called Verily is making a small trial website that will be used to triage patients in the SF Bay area only.
Of course it came with the comment “typical Trump stuff”.
I have no way to refute because search only produces several “techie” websites that are echoing the same story.
I’m hoping this is just fake news because so much of what was put out yesterday depends on being able to screen people before they are tested due to the limited testing capacity - why waste $ and time testing those who don’t have symptons? And the website is the logical way to cull out those who need testing at a drive-through facility.
Has anyone got more info about this? It could be another example of fake news manipulation where both things are true but they only present one part of the story to make President Trump look like an idiot.
That would mean there are a lot of other highly educated idiots and CEOs on the same stage who will look like idiots too.
So this is what I found, maybe someone could find more, I have some items I want to do this morning before watching movies and crocheting this afternoon, since I'm not ‘house arrest’ just kidding, my heart doc wants me to stay inside for at least 10 days...

Earlier today I asked about the story that was swirling around the web about Google denying what President Trump said yesterday. About 3 hours ago Google Communications posted a clarification in the form of a 6 tweet thread:
