The U.S. State Department has decided to suspend non-essential travel by staff because of the spread of the coronavirus and will only permit mission-critical trips, three sources familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.
While South Korea’s actual mortality rate, (deaths/resolved cases) has fallen to 15.3%, the vaunted 0.7% death rate calculated using deaths/total cases is creeping up, and is now 0.84%. With fewer new cases to pad the numbers and more cases “resolving”, will this trend continue? Maybe Dr. Fauci’s 1% estimate is very close.
