List of colleges cancelling face to face. Expect this list to grow significantly.

About time on banning EU travel. But will he? How many EUs will he let in and will they be REQUIRED to do a 14 day quarantine? None of this recommend/should/consider nonsense.

What exactly is “essential” travel? Going to see the latest fashions on a Paris runway may be essential to some.

“Seattle Mariners will move all March home games out of Seattle...”

The only ball parks suitable for MLB in all of Washington are in King, Pierce or Snohomish counties. Those are the three covered by State order to prohibit gatherings over 250 people.

The Mariners are going to have to play out of state.

SF Giants have to find alternative venue as well.

The Mariners are going to have to play out of state.

Good for them, but won't matter - -will still be bad.

The Mariners are in “Its the flu bro” denial.

By opening day they will be just like a cruise ship—no port will want them...

What they should do is play the games at home without fans—moving out of Seattle solves nothing.

We have the ability to do all of that. We just don’t want to do it because stocks might fall.

“What they should do is play the games at home without fans”

they may have trouble coming up with visiting teams.

A better formula would include the deaths in both the numerator and denominator:

Deaths / (Deaths + Recovered)

Because you want to divide the deaths by the total number of confirmed cases.

What is the CBR state-of-readiness of U.S. troops returning from Afghanistan, and so forth?

The state department, according to Carl Quintilla(sp?), has banned all non-essential travel internationally and domestically. Yet the country still allows international flights from Italy and other EU nations. Frustrating.

One of the more certain things in life is Trump walking back something he said earlier.

there’s no saving the stock market.

It will sink or swim on its own and should not govern the actions of society in response to legitimate threat.

Remember, the market is down because both people and institutions are selling their stocks. That is impossible to prevent.

Good point.

I have a thought.

MLB creates their own quarantine area (on an island?) and houses all the teams there.

Then they can all play!

I’ve tried to sort thru it and make reasonable precautions at home. Stocked up on some extra food. No, not two months worth. More like several weeks worth. Bought some Clorox. Am trying to avoid crowds and maintain six feet distance from others. Am trying not to touch my face. Am trying to wash my hands more than usual.

Buy more food and ammo, and the rest of what you are doing is what you should be doing.

I was thinking about that—as well as the cost/benefit of bringing troops home from around the world.

That is _way_ above my knowledge level....
