New York’s hand sanitizer is 75% alcohol. They probably have a prisoner waiting list for who get to make it. These convicts will be drinking the stuff.
It’s mostly isopropyl ethanol, which isn’t as toxic as Methanol, but not as nice as grain ethanol in normal booze. Not that felons care.

It is a commercially available product mainly is found as a 70% solution in rubbing alcohol and hand sanitizers. Unlike the other toxic alcohols, isopropanol rarely causes death and is associated with ketosis without acidosis. Treatment of isopropanol ingestions are typically supportive therapy and ingestions are rarely lethal.”
It’s wood alcohol. If they drink it they’ll go blind.
