To be clear to some, NO cars were melted 12,800 years ago. Melting cars was an example of how hot it was. Regarding Carolina Bays, Firestone’s book shows how the long axis of a typical Bay aims toward Great Lakes. Also he proposes that Lake Michigan was hit by two large objects. I think a third smaller one hit between these two. See a map. The article proposes a number of air bursts, but I think there were those and ground hits. Possibly Greenland and perhaps in the Atlantic Ocean or Arctic and not yet discovered. Remember 19 hits on Jupiter a few years ago. Sodom and Gomorrah were probably much later. Either the object that hit the Iraq Marshes 2,000 BC or a smaller local hit or air burst.
