In the beginning it was weird to ask friends and family to use it. But, they never thought it was a big deal since it was motivated by my illness. . Since then it’s stayed SOP. I have some alcohol bottles on standby if we run out. Just a shame hand sanitizer is impossible to get. I have an IGG of 400 since my sct and my kidneys can’t handle IVIG.
I’ve found that when I use it first, then gesture to guests, they are quite willing to follow my lead using the sanitizer. When out and about, I use my little travel bottle, then offer to squeeze a dab onto the hand of someone with me when they just touched a contaminated surface. So far, so good.
