Let's look at costs from a different perspective. If Disney World shuts down tomorrow, how long should it remain closed?

Who pays for mortgages, rent, utilities, groceries, shoes, etc. for Disney workers while the park is shut down? Secondary fallout: hotel, restaurant workers. Who pays their bills for the duration of your immediate and unknown duration Disney World closure?

DW is up and running in full swing. Some friends from Tx are there now. (I realize it was just an example. But thought I’d let you know all is well in the world of Disney. )

Always.

Every single time.

Authorities make the right decision to close things down about an incubation period too late.

Because of ‘business’.

And after, business is hurt even more because of the delay.

I agree nautinurse “just for the almighty dollar”’is unfair to most.

We aren’t working for new gold jewelry.

We have rent (foreclosure?) food. Car payments (repossession). Debt that if unpaid can ruin our credit score. Utilities. Telephone. Kids! Tuition! Gasoline! It’s no small thing no ruin an economy. Many never recover. Health insurance! I doubt many want to lose their health insurance right now...

It may to some degree at some point become necessary but it is not usually worship of the almighty dollar.
