Even if they do go on break, this could be worse as students tend to go to beaches and elsewhere to party. Imagine how many people that could become infected.

That is a good point about breaks. Cancelling live class at Stanford may just well ensure they the students go to the mall, gym, club, restaurant, friends’ house. Etc.

I can see where cancelling a major sporting event might reduce person to person contacts.

But classes and work, not so sure.

I know probably six people myself here in Arizona that headed to California this week for spring break. I am sure they’ll be bringing a gift back.

I posted the other day but don’t recall the link that Miami has had cancellations. Hotels have hired extra cleaners. Still be beach is full.
