Ethyl alcohol forms an azeotrope with water. The highest percent you can get with distillation techniques is somwhere around 95%. To get a higher percent ethyl alcohol you have to use other solvents to ‘dry it out’. Those solvents aren’t usually great things to have, even if they’re just on your skin.
Great :( It says that it is 200 proof (100%) but with additives to make it undrinkable. (So obivously not 100%).
I guess I should make up a batch before I run out of the store-bought stuff to see how it compares.
