My father-in-law has all kinds of stories his dad told him that this is all bringing to his mind. He has dementia, but his childhood recollection is amazing. He keeps asking me if it is ok for him to go outside. Im encouraging him to enjoy the sunshine!
Whenever I hear people play down this virus as only harming the elderly, it infuriates me. My FIL is an amazing man, a genuine (non hypocritical) Christian, a wonderful role model for my boys, an embodiment of everything great in our country. In addition he is a national treasure, as one of the early engineers of our missile defenses. To hear others devalue his life because of his age cuts me to the quick.
When an old person dies, a library burns.
Hubby made the same comment, tonight.
After Tucker’s show, Hannity came on and completely downplayed the CV....again, another comparison to the ‘it’s like the flu’....it was like Twilight Zone, after watching Tucker’s excellent and honest program.
Anywho...Hannity also mentioned the ‘it’s primarily affecting those 60 and older’ meme. Hubby looked at me and asked, Why are they repeating, over and over, that the threat is mostly to those over 60?? Like they’re minimalizing that age group. What, do they have no value/importance? How old is Hannity, btw??
I looked it up...Hannity is 58....so, I guess he thinks this cannot/will not be a problem, for him.
Amazing that they keep repeating this ‘primarily affects those (poor, useless) 60 and over’....line. Look at the age of our POTUS/VP/Speaker/MOST in Congress/the docs on the CV team, etc.
Agreed. I’m surprised we haven’t yet heard Millennials refer to it as the Boomer bug.
