Interesting. A new G-CoV in North Europe and Russia. How odd. They found S-CoV where we expect it. China, west coast US and SK. East coast US is recent infection. They call L-CoV V-CoV. Did not sample from Iran apparently. But the Italian version and French version are the infamous L-CoV now called V-CoV apparently. Unfortunately Latin America has same strain as Italy. Holly cow. And that V-CoV is coming into eastern US via Italians.
Thanks, mrsmith :)
S, G, V. But I’m a bit confused because there’s been talk of a S, ancestor, and a L, version - more virulent. Does G and V replace L or is S and L just a subscript, to S, G, V? (I am virology illiterate just saying)
I’m not sure how to read the chart?
Clade S:
Shenzhen to TX?, Shenzhen/Guangdong/Yunnan to AZ? Taiwan/Singapore to CA? SoKo to WA (but there’s a stray CA in the middle), Chongqing to WA, Wuhan to CA and IL?
Clade V:
one traveler? Wuhan to Italy to England to WA to Brazil to Switzerland to Finland ??
Clade G: no US
