Pottawattamie County announces COVID-19 case

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) Pottawattamie County announced Monday it had confirmed a case of the COVID-19 virus.
The county’s health department said in a brief news release that the first local case of the new virus had been confirmed and that more details would be released later in the day.
The new case followed an announcement Sunday of Iowa’s first COVID-19 cases, as three individuals from Johnson County had tested positive for the virus. All had recently taken a cruise in Egypt and were recovering at home.

Iran quarantines port city due to COVID-19
First quarantine in Iran is port city of Chabahar in southeastern Iran

TEHRAN
Iran has quarantined the southeastern port city Chabahar over coronavirus fears.
Entering and exiting Chabahar, in the Sistan-Baluchestan province, have been banned, according to Iran’s official news agency IRNA.
Ambulances announced that Chabahar is in quarantine and people are not to leave their homes.
Meanwhile, the city of Nishabur in the eastern Razavi-Khorasan province is on red alert, with entering and exiting banned.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also canceled a traditional Newroz speech.
Previously, travel to 17 states in Iran were banned over the outbreak.
