“Coronavirus: Doctor says high blood pressure a major death risk. Of a group of 170 patients who died in January in Wuhan about 50% had hypertension.”

Assuming they are on drugs, one has to wonder whether it’s the hypertension, or the drugs they’re on.

If not on drugs, then one has to wonder whether if the hypertension drugs they’re given during treatment is what weakens them, allowing Coronavirus to kill them.

Same for diabetes, for that matter.

because some of them are undoubtedly on ACE inhibitors.

Hmmm...

I’m wondering if hyperinsulinemia (linked to t2d and hypertension) is the underlying cause of the risk factor that connects the two.
