Continuation of the thread.
I think it’s obvious our national strategy is that it is inevitable most people will get it and we are better off if most people go ahead and get it now. We can slow it somewhat, but we really want all regions getting it about tithe same time.
As far as stopping things like cruise ships or sporting events, that really just starts us down the road of stopping almost everything, which is unacceptable. It doesn’t seem like they want to slow it down that much anyway.
I wonder what the real estimates they have on their desk are. I’d guess 60-80% infected by year end,
My mom went through a c-dif situation at her assisted living. It landed her in the hospital for a week, and a nursing home for three weeks.
Stuff going through assisted living facilities is brutal.
Yikes.

Official: White House didn’t want to tell seniors not to fly

NEW YORK (AP) — A federal official says the White House overruled health officials who wanted to recommend that elderly and physically fragile Americans be advised not to fly on commercial airlines because of the new coronavirus.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention submitted the plan this week as a way of trying to control the virus, but White House officials ordered the air travel recommendation be removed.
That’s according to a federal official with direct knowledge of the plan who did not have authorization to talk about the matter and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

I just spoke to a 32 year old CoronaVirus Patient (who is a medical professional and not an alarmist) says the virus is worse than people think. His lungs are shutting down, and he says he will have to be intubated soon. He's waited a week without the drugs that he wants
It will skyrocket for the next two weeks. The only limiting factor is the kits.
