More to the point while even if they were concerned about women’s safety they would be opposing state regulation of safety practices, they would be using very different arguments to oppose the government regulation. i.e. if they are so concerned about safety where are their published standards?
With no published standards they will point to, and arguments that seem to boil down to how dare you interfere with our holy cause, I am forced to conclude that safety is not a concern of theirs.
Try to sell shoes that do not comply with ANSI Z41 and you cannot claim they are protective foot wear. Shoe makers do not want the Government to prescribe how foot wear is to be constructed, so they worked with their customers to make a series of standards, and today several government agencies reference those industry standards.
It is pretty clear when libtards are concerned about something, they create mountains of rules and regulations and keep adding to them, ie anything they care about gets more and more laws and regulations.
By theirmown lack of regard innthis matter, its clear they are not concerned about womens’ safety, and the fact is they never were, that never entered into the equation at all, ever. It was merely a word in a bleatable slogan that they didn’t believe to begin with.
