If you ever saw the movie “Stalin” with Robert Duvall, there was a scene where Beria was mocking one of his victims crying before he was shot.

The report was, when it was Beria’s turn, he was whining and crying in the very same manner as those he mocked.

Oh yes...Robert Duvall as Stalin was chillingly brilliant-— all the psychopathy, the evil in his voice and gestures. His talking to Lenin’s wife (who was no saint, mind) Krupskaya-— “you.. b__ch”....the duality of lunatic.

A bank robber who had at one point wanted to attend Orthodox seminary in Georgia, escaped from a Tsarist gulag to join the Bolsheviks and Lenin (who was seeking vengeance for his older brother who was hanged for attempted murder of Tsar Alexander III). Who was also before and partly during this time— an informant and agent of the Tsar’s secret police..the Okhrana. Thus his massive purges were to elimnate anyone who might have had knowledge of this. A nation be damned. Ivan the Terrible re-born as a Communist Tsar.
