Well the D Day movie made by Daryll F. Zanuck was pretty good.

Just about every actor in the country was in “The Longest Day”.

An interesting tid bit: Richard Todd plays a general who meets Richard Todd at a bridge. Richard Todd was in the battle as was Scottie from “Star Trek”.
