How many of those ‘flu deaths’ and hospitalizations are really the initial cases of coronavirus that weren’t diagnosed because...no tests...?
Maybe the S strain wasn’t the first mutation, but came from a low-contagion earlier version? The s and L strains have shown to be highly contagious, so I’d think if the Jan/Feb flus were S or L CV, we’d have had medical staff dropping everywhere at a high rate prior to Mar 1. If not young nurses, then older doctors and charge nurses. I still think we should check the surviving EVALI patients for antibodies. And all flus should be assayed going forward.
