Here is an interesting take from WHO, regarding their death rate as applied to different medical pre-conditions:
Cardiovascular disease : 10.5%
Diabetes : 7.3%
Chronic respiratory disease : 6.3%
Hypertension : 6.0%
Cancer : 5.6%
no pre-existing conditions : 0.9%
The Diabetes one is scary, because we have a LOT of people in this country that are diabetic.

I wish we had a break down of Type 1 & 2.
Type 2 is epidemic in the US, both diagnosed and under diagnosed. I have suspected non-alcoholic fatty liver disease contributes greatly to the severity of coronavirus due to ACE2 expression.

Re: 83 - thanks for that, which has been posted several times - but it's important to be posted several times because of the potential ramifications.. My concern is how much of the rate is based on Chinese data? They have been less than forthcoming on the numbers of cases and deaths, and have (still?) declined assistance from CDC, WHO?, etc.
Which suggests the numbers they reported are even worse.

When the drugs stop (due to China), the Type 2 diabetics can go Keto and be ok. The hypertension people can be helped a bit with Keto, but they’re mostly out of luck.

(If some people here don't want to prep for Coronavirus, they can explain it to their families)
