They claimed price gouging. I never checked, but people were saying that instead of selling at bargain basement like normal on ebay, the vendors raised their prices up to retail prices. Ebay considered that gouging.
Interesting, as actually a LOT of (new) stuff gets sold, or at least listed, on eBay at retail or close.
Ok, those are sometimes Wally World type retail prices, not “suggested list price” (usually a meaningless number),but, still...
That said, even a few weeks ago I saw some pretty insane prices on eBay for N95 masks. One listing was literally 10x the pricing at Lowes, in one case, for boxes of 10.
