I agree, however it is not purposeful as is pure incompetence of federal government. I am certain they were very proficient at filling out their vacation schedule on the government calendars every year. I watched it at the NIH.

The FDA is up to it's neck in this too. Single source testing stinks of corruption. There are always special paybacks for navigating the labyrinth of bureaucratic requirements for certification. Possibly a back and forth director employment from government to private partnership.

Reading Dr. Gottlieb’s tweets through all of this (he was former head of FDA), they had a process ready to go ahead with private testing weeks ago and made that know . I don’t know why the CDC did not take advantage of that. Just one of many head scratchers.
