LA is on my list. They just held the marathon there today and the pictures show _big_ crowds.

The Department of Health folks told viewers of the marathon to stay six feet away from others (except for close friends and family). (Like you can’t catch this virus from friends and family, lol.) It didn’t look like people were listening if you look at the crowds.

As for the runners in the marathon, they were offered no such advice.

Hope the runners were not accepting cups of water from the fans, even if they were friends and family.

Expect LA cases to explode when testing gets up to speed.

Total CA tests so far—600, a lot of them in SF area because they already have a bunch of cases there.

Contra Costa County in CA is implementing a bizarre policy of "NO DETAILS", leaving people uninformed of possible infections around them. They won't even tell you what city, area or hospital, just how many cases they have.

"There will not be other details released on the patients due to privacy. This includes the names of the hospitals."

Thousands of nincompoops from Arizona are hitting San Diego/LA/Orange County this week for spring break.

I expect exponential growth in the next few weeks.
