We have an over-80 parent with us, we will be watching church online with him. He understands, and I believe God understands. Matthew 18:20.
...Wherever two or more. TV counts absolutely it does.
Agreed LF There is such a thing as providential hindrance.
Some may use it as an excuse and we need to guard against that. Church is hard. We get confronted with our own sins. We are held accountable. Other people get their way a lot. We have to bear one anothers burdens. Jimmy wont quit crying. Fred smells. Deacon Joe wont shut up about his car troubles. And the sermon today makes us painfully aware of our pet sin.
It is easier for us to stay home but that is not what we are normally called to do.
Normally. However with real illness and incapacity etc thats a different thing.
I also take care of two over-80 parents, so they (and I) will be doing Church on TV tomorrow and for the foreseeable future.
I’m trying to figure out what to do about their health aide, who stays all week and is off on weekends. My job has not yet let us work from home (I’m in NY) and I am worried that the health aide and I switching off and getting exposed while not in their house could be disastrous.
