In a press point, Professor Jérôme Salomon announced the screening of 949 cases of contamination in France, or 336 more in 24 hours. There are 16 dead, 5 more than yesterday. Of these 16 dead, 12 are over 70 and suffered from other illnesses, said the boss of the DGS. A total of 45 people are in intensive care, six more than on Friday.

Johns Hopkins University announced Thursday night that it would not admit fans to this weekend’s NCAA Division III men’s basketball tournament games on the university’s Homewood campus, a precautionary step taken amid the evolving coronavirus outbreak. First- and second-round games will be played at Goldfarb Gym without spectators.
All games will be broadcast live online on HopTV.
