Evidently the answer you are looking for is for everyone to hide in their homes so they won’t catch whatever this is which no one really has a clue about.
Italytwo to three weeks ahead of us....
and yet the planes keep landing
why?
Just answer the question. It should be simple.
My baseline is no respect for Andrew Cuomo, but something has happened to make him behave responsibly and speak sensibly about this matter.
Unless and until the front line health care workers get hit hard....then it will be everybody’s problem...
“By only opening shopping centers for 3 hours a day, Iran will be spreading the disease as people will be crowding in. Closer personal space due to limited time to purchase food and medicine.”
It’s IDIOTIC. At this point we only go to stores during off-hours, and if a store isn’t open during off-hours, like Costco, we don’t go.
If anything, our wonderful leaders should be REQUIRING longer hours, just for the reason you cited (something like 18 hours a day for large stores*). But they still haven’t figured it out yet. They still think it’s SARS or Ebola.
*I’ll get back to small-government libertarianism after this virus is done, thank you.
sorry, not interested. I’m more into politics. You should try it some time especally on a politcal thread.
“If there are no political concerns on this thread than im gone.”
Have a nice day!
You don't get to make two such contrasting statements.
So answer the question: 10 generations - two patients. It's either normal or we don't know. They either have the same R0 and CFR and end up with about the same numbers - or they don't. So said - with authority and emphasis that it was normal - so tell us the answer.
There are great deals on the Diamond Princess, and in Wuhan, right about now.
Cuomo:
—Strong ties to, contacts with Italy. They are two to three weeks ahead of us with regional quarantines
—I think he is getting the NY National Guard ready to quarantine parts of NYC in a few weeks. That kind of mobilization takes time and planning (and of course secrecy).
He knows this s^&^ is real.
Or maybe you should stay off of this thread when you don’t know what you are talking about? Just a suggestion.
Buildings don’t collapse without a reason. That’s one way to fudge the numbers.
Yes.
Hard to do the politics of covid without more info.
We can expect media ‘panic’ during March as the reported cases, and deaths, rise hugely.
I don’t ‘supply chain’ problems will be a big deal. OTOH ‘demand’ problems will be evident in economic numbers.
Lots of reasons for the US to do much better than others, looking like this will just be a VERY BAD flu season.
Over-emphasizing the danger now just makes Trump look better later.
But we don’t understand the disease well enough to extrapolate to politics. Keep an eye on the disease’s progress in other countries and learn more for now.
Watch Italy—two to three weeks ahead of us—apples to apples.
Some of our campuses have trips within the United States planned over Spring Break. At this time, the district is not cancelling any scheduled trips but supports the decisions of parents who wish to cancel plans for their child(ren) to travel. Unfortunately, whether cancelled by the District or not, no refunds are available for trips already planned for Spring Break.
Simply CLUELESS. It was like that at work for me last week. Then we had a staff meeting, and it was in a small conference room...with lots of people. I used that time to pack my stuff at my desk and write an adios note - telling them that, until the virus blows over, I’m working at home. They never responded! So I think they’re ok with the plan - if not, their loss.
We also have a sick-leave policy that combines it with vacation - take a sick day, lose a potential vacation day. So, lots of people come to work in various, non-ideal, conditions.
Ah, so Costco wants to infect people. Can’t buy but two today so customers have to come back again tomorrow with a whole new set of germy customers. Rinse and repeat.
Our local grocery store is limiting two brands of cream cheese. You can buy all the Philly you want. Who knew there was a coronavirus cream cheese run?
Maybe the S strain wasn’t the first mutation, but came from a low-contagion earlier version? The s and L strains have shown to be highly contagious, so I’d think if the Jan/Feb flus were S or L CV, we’d have had medical staff dropping everywhere at a high rate prior to Mar 1. If not young nurses, then older doctors and charge nurses. I still think we should check the surviving EVALI patients for antibodies. And all flus should be assayed going forward.
“Oh, no! The horrors!!! Yelp has cancelled its San Antonio Fiesta medal...”
Maybe that will wake some people up! LOL.
