Yet we live.
Amazing, ain’t it.
Just dropped my daughter off at the airport and we chatted about the “brand new” coronavirus.
She’s been a RN for 11 years and said it ain’t new and folks are going insane out of ignorance.
She’s also wondering why so many are calling it pandemic (which it is) when only 61 or so countries have reported cases and then calling the Flu endemic even though it is commonly in over 120 countries, which makes it even more pandemic than the coronavirus.
She also verified that masks only help protect folks when the sick wear them and have almost zero effect when well people wear them...if you’re within 3’-6’ of someone coughing/sneezing, best deal is to stop inhaling and close your eyes for a few seconds and then wash before touching your face...and those emptying shelves of cleaning supplies don’t seem to realize that sanitizing your house, other than normal wiping up, does no special good unless you or someone in the house is infected and actually spreading the virus inside...
At any rate, Mississippi hasn’t hit panic mode....yet.
I’ll be curious how the vaccine(s) in development will pan out and how they might interact/affect regular Flu/Pneumonia vaccine recipients.
