I hadn't considered that. My grandmother ended up in an orphanage. The 1918 flu was particularly brutal in Pittsburgh and she told us many stories.

I heard some stories about how my Great Grandfather /Grand Mother had to raise all his nieces and nephews on a farm due to 1918 flu.

I think I will make sure I pass that down the newest generation so the story is never forgot.
