Electric oven at my Mom’s gets to 180°F w/ only the oven light on. I think Carlo3B told me years ago, that 180° was the lowest “good” setting for cooking meat low & slow.

My dehydrator doesn’t 160 for drying meat. Never experienced any side effects from that.
