“ UV lamps should not be used to sterilize hands or other areas of skin as UV radiation can cause skin irritation.”

I read that and think, “Ok, but it kills it, right? I’ll have irritated skin but it kills it.”

Life is a seemingly endless list of choices, isn’t it?

The UVC light is REALLY bad on your eyes and skin. But that isn’t the purpose of it. Where UV goggles and clothing as you disinfect objects. Or more typical, turn the light on and close the door as it disinfects the room and areas exposed to the light.

I’m going to take a cardboard box, lined with tin foil and with the metal wire shelf for the oven propped up. Toss your small objects on the shelf, zap it for a couple of minutes.

There is some company doing the same thing at hospitals - they run a fancy thing that rotates the phone around for one minute.

You need to use metal as the “mirror”. A glass mirror will absorb the UVC waves and won’t reflect them.
