Assuming ( and that’s a HUGE ASSUMPTION ), we accept your premise that the Chicoms developed this virus to target the Elderly, I would say it makes sense from a budgetary point of view... taking care of the older folks costs a lot of money and medical resources.

There have been true “targeted” bioweapons out there in development for many years.

They are _far_ more precise than this virus.

While certain groups are more vulnerable than others, everyone is vulnerable.

Lots of middle age folks have died in China from this disease.

If this is a bioweapon, it is a really dumb one....

Your first comment about it affecting the elderly triggered the thought. It would make sense for them to engineer a virus to take out the elderly for exactly the reasons you said.

And they still say there won’t be death panels.
