I had a coworker whose wife was pregnant. They knew before the baby was born that it would not live due to a serious heart problem. They and their entire family, including their other children, spent 15 hours loving on that baby after it was born until it passed.

We have had doctors make so many diagnoses in our family that they were so sure of that turned out to be completely wrong. I could never live with myself if I didn't at least give my baby a chance at life after birth and see if the doctor was right. If it dies at least I gave it a chance and it didn't die at my own hand.
