I’m in process of implementing some precautions in my cpa firm including using gloves to handle client documents, frequent cleaning of common areas that clients use and daily cleanup of employee desks, keyboards and phones. Also have work at home plan for all employees. I assume it’s not necessary but if something happens I don’t want to look back and wish I did something.

Your preparations are a good idea. You also may want to read the CDC document on community pandemic flu planning. It includes details on the length of possible school and business shut downs, etc.

Interestingly, the Chinese response in Wuhan seems like it was modeled on the CDC plans, perhaps with a bit of Chinese style authoritarianism mixed in.

Used to be women always wore (fabric) gloves in public. I wonder if that helped reduce the spread of disease?
