I sure hope this is true, but the Israelis have a history of exaggerating this sort of thing.
They've announced several cancer cures over the years that have gone into the memory hole. IIRC, they announced a new one last year. Haven't heard a peep about it since.
Anyway, maybe this one will be for real.

Perhaps they’re developing/testing and don’t have anything new to announce yet.

It’s just about every researcher with a pulse and a need for funding. That’s why I’m always skeptical about these announcements. A lot of these projects are all about asking for money now and begging for forgiveness when the stated miracle product fails to materialize. Odds in many cases are that some of these “breakthroughs” were just brainstorms on a white board attached to a funding request.
