I differ with what you say...
End results matter when you are comparing the nature of how many had it and what happened to them
Recovery
Death
So in observing the same with the new one the same is in effect, how many have the symptoms and actually have contracted it and what is the outcome and consistency of the people, and other data points that provide clues as to how to treat it etc.
Many are looking at this from the standpoint of the Spanish Flu which swept through our country early in the last century. I do not see the comparison between them at all, and maybe they just hope that it will be the same
Who knows, but their posts surely paint an interesting picture
But what you posted didn't differ with what I said.
What I commented on was yet another statement about how many people have died from the flu. No other context or explanation. And has been repeatedly pointed out on many of these threads, that's a meaningless comparison because the flu is widespread and this coronavirus is not. The issue, the whole point of concern, is what happens if it becomes as widespread as the flu. All signs are that then, you'll have many many more people die from this than do the flu.
