By now, I've read so many DOJ documents about China stealing our technology, I have to think American History would have been MUCH different had Obama wanted to protect the US for this kind of exploitation. US industries being out competed by China based on stolen US intellectual property.

A lot of this started under Clinton, IMHO. Remember the Loral satellite and guidance technology that was declared dual-use, and OK to export?
I don’t know whether industrial espionage was tamped down, lay dormant, or continued ignored under GWB.
