The Asian Flu PANDEMIC began in China killed 1.1 million world wide and according to the site I'm now reading, killed 116,000 in the USA. Another site claimed it killed 70,000 Americans, so I don't know what the correct figure is.

What I DO know, is that nobody panicked, here, about it, there were NO vaccines against it, nor meds to treat it back then, lots of people got it, here, who had absolutely NO contact with anyone from China/had been to China, and I don't remember the president making any speeches about it on T.V., nor the media blaming Ike for it.
