Weird statement for a state dept to make IMO:

“28 February 2020

Montpelier, VT – In light of the ongoing developments related to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and its impact on financial markets, the Department of Financial Regulation (DFR) is reminding investors in Vermont to have patience and use caution.”

A scam warning isn’t strange, but “have patience”?

It’s their consumer finance division. This is a normal thing when the markets tank, to warn people not to sell the farm.
