I think it's going to happen soon. At the press conference in Oregon they mentioned that Oregonians shouldn't panic but should have food and water for at least 14 days. Which of course will cause panic.

If you haven't bought yet go buy a little tomorrow, a little more Sunday and a little more Monday. As these new cases become clear from testing it may start a run...especially if there's a lot all in one area like in Italy.

Was talking to another academic who lives in Montreal earlier this evening—he’s scheduled to give a paper in Honolulu in a conference in about three weeks.

10% of the presenters have already cancelled due to the virus, and he was speculating about whether or not the whole conference would end up cancelled.
