This was an expensive 14 day cruise, nothing like the cheap 3-7 day Caribbean or Mexico cruises many younger folks and families take (and cheap cruises in other regions). I suspect the chart isn't too far off from the age demographics of the passengers. I just dropped my sister and her husband off at the San Diego Cruise Ship Terminal for an 18 day cruise, and the boarding line looked like it was 90% 50+. Last cruise I took was a "cheap" Mexican Riviera cruise, and that was a much younger crowd, including younger couples with kids.

Shes talking about a different chart I posted up thread that showed covid affecting young people disproportionately. The cruise data is not a good indicator of age distributions the general population IMO.
We have friends getting ready to take their kids on a spring break Mexico cruise.
I don’t get how anyone would want to do that, EVER, but, especially now.
