Long hair which is not kept close to the head is an industrial hazard. Women (and men) who fail to follow factory rules face the real risk of being scalped by a lathe or spinning equipment of any kind. Also having long hair loosely flying about present a health hazard in food processing and prep, medical facilities, restaurants, etc. Where is OSHA and the FDA on this?
The rule is if they hair is long, you wear a hair net. I have seen hair bunched up inside a hair net, suddenly fly out when the person is jerking their head around. I used to work at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, and saw those with long hair struggling to keep their hair from coming out of the hairnet. You don’t want to be dragged into the Cama 14 K-cup filler machine as it spews out 350 K-cups per minute.
