I believe that POTUS has set Pence up to be a Star, by generously handing off a world crisis and placing that crisis and it’s planning leadership under his purview.
I’m more of a Pompeo girl, myself. Pence’s behavior (behind the person of the POTUS), appearing as a starched bird on a branch, does not reflect a muscular presence. Grant it, Pompeo has the responsibility and freedom to wield power and presence that evidently is not extended to Pence. Which, I find curious in an electability sense.
I agree 100% about KANSAS. He’s got fire, he’s a happy warrior, he’s brilliant, mil experience, manages to be questioned insanely by Demshevikes while not losing his cool and keeping his machismo.
IMHO Trump is putting Pence in spotlight and giving him stuff to do because Trump works Pence, not like a lot of previous POTUS’s and their VPs, plus I’m sure he’s aware of rumors about Pence being Bad and not being VP choice this time around.
