Meanwhile the CDC estimates between 16,000 and 41,000 deaths in the U.S. this winter from the flu between Oct 1st and Feb. 15th.
Why is the Corona Virus so scary?
They are doing it just like they did with saars.
They say that the Spanish Flu started small.
I dunno, not convinced.
The 1918 Flu was called Spanish Flu only because Spain was neutral during the war and did not censor the news. There was nothing Spanish about it.
That h1n1 hit the young the hardest, the 20 somethings we would call them. I think the older ones had immunity from a similar swine flu that had gone round at the turn of the century. Germany cancelled an offensive due to losses from the flu and it brought them to the peace table.
The 1918 Flu brought on a perfect storm of respiratory crises. It would kill you in a day! Has that been happening with the coronavirus? How does it kill?
If our favorite history teacher, Professor Larry, would correct me, I would be grateful. Thanks!
Look up “endemic”.
Until the Wuhan virus is, you can’t really compare them.
