My coworker, who is in his 60s is married to a pharmacist of about the same age. He had no idea that the Chinese control our drug supply. But what was really scary is that neither did his pharmacist wife. I told him to look at a medication and see if it says where it was made...it doesn’t, none do. They carved out an exception to labeling requirements because ‘people would become upset’ if they knew that virtually all our drugs come from China.
...now they’ll find out, finally.
Any mention of caution regarding sending all our pharma manufacturing to china was met with ‘racist’ from freepers even 10 years ago.
